Biblical Theology of Evangelism

Unlike Systematic theology, which gathers everything the Bible says on a particular subject, Biblical theology traces God’s revelation of a particular subject throughout the Scriptures. This helps us understand the grand storyline of Scripture and shows the incredible unity of Scripture.

Biblical theology of evangelism then is the study of the progressive revelation of evangelism throughout Scripture. We will begin in Genesis and end in Revelation. My hope is that this will show you that God is the author of evangelism and has been since the beginning. It will also help you combat claims that only the New Testament was concerned with evangelism. We will see that evangelism starts in the Old Testament and empowers the New Testament mission.
